So, as always, I’ve been working on lots of music. That and setting up a new studio in my new home of Brighton. Lots of new music to come – remixes and original tunes that I’m very proud of.

In the meantime, this is something I did for a bit of fun to slip in when I’m DJing. For all those 90′s babies who grew up on 8 and 16 bit games.

It’s been a while. There are two reasons for this. One is that I’ve been working on A LOT of new music. The second is that this blog is getting a complete overhaul soon.

ANYWHO… I have an EP hitting the internetwaves next week. I’m calling it a ‘wordless’ EP because even though there are no lead vocals on any of the tracks, there is a lot of my singing. It’s a short collection past remixes without their lead vocals and a couple of new original tunes. It’s called Epic & Blues.

Every day this week, a different site will be exclusively featuring one of the tracks. Clashmusic got the ball rolling yesterday.

Excited to be letting this mixtape loose as it’s been burning a hole in my hard drive for a few weeks now. To get a look-in from Questlove of The Mighty Roots Crew is just otherworldly, too.

SO… my brother Seye also makes music. And he’s a DON. I got the chance to remix his debut single ‘White Noise’ and none other than Mr Bestival himself Rob Da Bank gave it the first ever play on BBC Radio 1. Spoiler alert: NO DRUMS.

Another remix hot off the press. I put it into my Block.fm mix last month but now I can properly let it loose. Jim Kroft is a dude and I would highly recommend checking out the original version of this song – it’s actually a duet with the lovely Lianne La Havas.

It’s no excuse, but we’ve been Metronomy-touring for the last few weeks. Threw this up on New Year’s Day. First original tune I’ve put out there in a little while, but there will be a whole bunch more this year.

It got some love on Okayafrica today, which I’m super-excited about ’cause Okayafrica and the whole Okayplayer camp have a take on music that’s best referred to as DOPE.

The site’s blacked out today as part of the online protest against the Stop Online Piracy Act in the US, but I’d click on the image above anyway to find out just why SOPA’s attracting so much fuss.

HELLO FROM TOKYO. Got my first DJ shows here tomorrow and on Friday. Did a mix for Block.fm that went out a few days ago. Seriously happy that I got to play a bunch of my friends’ music as well as fitting in more of my stuff than I’ve ever put into a mix before. Oh, and anime references!
